Rachel Rieves Art

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you do commission work?

Yes!  I am always willing to work with clients to help them design a unique painting, and there is a process to ensure the best outcome possible.

We will first discuss the original idea along with color and composition via email.  After I draw a rough draft, I will email a picture to make sure we are on the right track.  Then, I will block in color and some detail and send one more picture for approval.  I will make adjustments discussed and then I will push forward to finish the painting at which point a third picture will be sent for approval.  Please note that I also ask for freedom to use my own unique style and will not copy another artist's original.

I love one of your paintings, can you make it in a different size?

Yes and no.  To be fair to other buyers, I want to make sure everyone gets an original and not a copy.  I will do my best to make it similar, but all of my paintings are unique.

What supplies do you use in "mixed media"?

I paint mostly on deep wood panels but sometimes use gallery wrapped canvases.  My mediums change from piece to piece but can consist of pencil, watercolor pencil, oil sticks, latex, and acrylic paint.

Do you ship outside of the Memphis area?

Absolutely!  I use USPS and sometimes FedEx.  If you live outside of the United States, email me and we can discuss shipping prices.

If I am local, can I pick up my artwork from your studio?

Yes. Please use code fab901city for free shipping, and then email me to schedule a pick up.
